Elite Animal Rescue History

Elite Animal Rescue was created in 2002 to serve as a network organization providing relief to area shelters and rescue groups. In conjunction with other rescue and support groups, Elite is able to rehabilitate, house and place animals that are considered problematic or “difficult placements”. Many of the dogs that we have rehabilitated were transferred from local shelters and other rescue groups and required “deprogramming” of negative behavior patterns.

For the past several years, we have come across an overwhelming amount of dogs that required behavioral modification due to lack of confidence. Many of the aggressive tendencies displayed by “problem” dogs can be attributed to environmental and traumatic conditions as well as genetic, fear-based traits. Initially, we provide socialization and therapy to problem dogs in order to establish trust and gain insight into their particular issues. After determining the root of their issue, it is addressed by the use of customized training techniques. All of the dogs that we have rehabilitated were capable of learning new, positive behaviors and in turn, they developed confidence as well.

Elite Animal Rescue is dedicated to working on a broad scale to assist dogs with behavioral issues. In addition, we will continue to network with other organizations and advocate for pets.
