Elite Dog Sponsorship

		Sam is a 4 to 5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier that was rescued off the street by a neighbor who brought him to Elite’s Center. At that time, Sam was undernourished and wounded. According to the young man, Tony, Sam had been in his neighborhood for a short while and was being used in dogfights. Sam is very sweet and smart and we have been caring for him ever since. We will continue to assist Sam with his rehabilitation and then provide him with more dog socialization with positive experiences. Sam responds very well in obedience classes and is becoming more tolerant of other dogs. We will continue to work with his socialization in playgroups.

		Jake is a 7-year-old Otter Hound mix that displayed fear related aggression in his former home. We have “adopted” him for now as we work with his sensitivities and create trust bonds with him. Jake is initially apprehensive when put in stressful situations and will resort to protect himself when he feels overwhelmed. Elite Rescue is committed to desensitizing Jake to stressful situations and will continue to work slowly with him. Jake performs freestyle obedience and is very proud when he works. Look for Jake’s off leash performance at this year’s Pet Expo.

		"Pia" is a 5 year old altered female who belongs to Bull Dog Rescue. She is currently boarding at Elite's Center. Pia has some sensitivity to her back and rear areas due to a medical condition. She loves to take long walks and is very energetic outside. She is excited and friendly when meeting people and then she becomes interested in relaxing. Pia would be a great dog for a single adult or couple who have time to take her for walks. She is all right with dogs that are non threatening. She loves to eat and drink.
		"Lorenza" is a 7 year old spayed, female Golden Retriever/Chow mix who is currently boarding at Elite. She is very friendly and sweet and generally likes other dogs. Lorenza is not comfortable with cats. She is good with children and enjoys a calm atmosphere. Lorenza is very housebroken and loves to eat. 		"Oscar" is a 7 year old neutered, male English Bull Dog. He was rescued from a NYC Shelter by a good hearted rescue organization member. Oscar is currently residing at Elite's Center where he is receiving Foundation training. He is a very sweet and happy dog that likes people and other dogs. Oscar will thrive in a home with children 12 years and older.
